1 Life Left is published by Heaston Innovations LLC ("we", "us"). This policy explains exactly what the app stores, the few things that ever leave your phone, and what we never collect.
The short version. There is no account and no sign-up. Everything you log — workouts, body measurements, food, and finances — is written to a private database on your own phone. We operate no user database and cannot see your logs. Data leaves your device only in the specific cases listed under What leaves your device, and the largest of those (the optional AI features) only when you personally tap an AI button.
All of the following is kept in a private app database on your phone. It is not uploaded to us, and it is deleted when you uninstall the app.

We do not ask for your name, email address, phone number, or postal address, and the app has no login. The app contains no analytics SDK and no crash-reporting SDK; we receive no usage statistics from it.
There are four cases, and only four.
The app can estimate macros from a description or a photo, read a nutrition label, parse a grocery receipt, and generate meal plans. These features are entirely optional and always user-initiated. When you use one, the app sends the relevant content to our own relay server at relay.heastoninnovations.com, which forwards it to Anthropic (the Claude model family) to produce the result. Because grocery receipts are handled by this feature, receipt content is financial information that can leave your device when you choose to use receipt parsing. If you never use the AI features, none of this is ever transmitted.
To use the relay, the app registers once and stores a token on your device. Registration sends a device identifier derived from the Android ANDROID_ID value — not your name or email. We use it only to issue that token, to apply per-device rate limits, and to tell free from subscribed devices. The token is held in encrypted storage on your phone.
Anthropic processes this content as our service provider in order to return a result. Please also review Anthropic's privacy policy.
The app shows ads supplied by Google AdMob. To serve and measure them, the Google Mobile Ads SDK collects your device's advertising ID and standard ad-request data (such as device type, coarse locale, and ad interactions). This is handled by Google under Google's privacy policy. You can reset or delete your advertising ID at any time in Android Settings → Privacy → Ads. Your logged health, diet and financial data is never sent to the ad network. Purchasing the premium subscription removes ads.
The premium subscription is sold through Google Play Billing. Google processes the payment and tells the app whether your subscription is active. We never see or store your card or payment details.
The app participates in Android's standard Auto Backup. If backup is enabled on your phone, Android may copy the app's data — including your health, diet and financial logs — to your own Google Drive account, encrypted and counted against your Drive storage. This is a transfer between you and Google; we have no access to it. You can turn it off in Android Settings → Google → Backup, or per-app in your device's backup settings.
The app can export all of your data to a file, and writes an automatic backup to Downloads/1LifeLeft/ on your device so your history survives a reinstall. These files are plain, unencrypted JSON stored on your own phone. They are not uploaded anywhere by the app. Because they sit in your shared Downloads folder, other apps with storage access — and anything you sync that folder with — may be able to read them. Delete the folder if you do not want a copy kept.

1 Life Left is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Downloads/1LifeLeft/ to remove your backup file as well.Your logs live on your device for as long as you keep the app. On the relay, we retain only the device token and minimal request counts needed for rate limiting and subscription status; AI request content is passed through to generate your result and is not retained by us as part of a user profile.
If this policy changes materially, we will update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, note the change in the app.
